Common questions
How is Express Entry different from the 67-point score?
The 67-point grid decides whether you can enter the pool as a Federal Skilled Worker. Once in, your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score decides whether you get an invitation in a draw.
How long does Canada PR take?
IRCC's service standard for most Express Entry applications is about 6 months after you submit a complete application. Preparation before that usually takes 2 to 4 months.
Do I need a job offer?
No. A job offer adds points but is not required for the Federal Skilled Worker program.
Can my spouse and children come with me?
Yes. Your spouse and dependent children can be included in your PR application.
Do I need to show funds?
Yes, unless you have a valid Canadian job offer or qualify under the Canadian Experience Class. The amount depends on family size and is updated each year.
What does your service cost?
Government, test and ECA fees are paid separately. Every fee, inclusion and refund term is written into your service agreement before you pay.
